DESCRIPTION

On behalf of Marriott International in Chiang Rai, Thailand, RMC Asia is searching for guest relations interns to join Marriott’s 5-star resort! As a part of Cultural Exchange Programs by RMC Asia (internships, management training, and contractual position opportunities across Asia’s luxury hotels and resorts), this program invites you to immerse yourself in the international hospitality industry, collaborate with professionals, and experience the cultural abundance of Thailand simultaneously. GUEST RELATIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES

● Greeting guests upon arrival and making them feel welcome
● Performing and administering check-ins and check-outs
● Assigning rooms and taking care of administrative duties
● Processing guest payments
● Being a source of information to guests on various matters such as transport and restaurant advice
● Accommodating general and unique requests
● Understanding all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, and promotions
● Communicating with all departments to fulfill guest requests
● Handling complaints & diffusing conflict or tense situations with guests
● Other related duties in the front office department

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

● Educational background or work experience in hotel and tourism
management
● Enrolled students or recent graduates within 24 months
● School, college, or university reference letter
● Conversational English
● Well-groomed
● Pleasant personality
● Clean criminal record
● No drug abuse
● Minimum 6 months passport validity

Please note that all applicants are interviewed by RMC Asia, and must be accepted as seen fit and qualified for the program prior to being introduced to host organization for hire.
